Tasting Notes
Although a Gesha bean, this coffee has a significantly more smooth depth of flavor with an abnormally medium body (typically, Geshas have a very light body), which makes it stand almost on its own island of uniqueness. Deeply developed sugar sweetness blends seamlessly with light strawberry (almost strawberry leaf-like) notes and hibiscus floral touches.
Finca La Estrella Coffee Production
This coffee was sourced by Sagebrush at the Colombia Best Cup competition. It was not eligible for the Best Cup, because it was a Gesha coffee. However, when Matt and Noah took their combined ratings of every coffee they judged during this trip it had the highest combined rating, so they made a silent auction bid and grabbed the entire lot. We're super excited to be able to offer this coffee.
