Recommended Roast Level
City Plus (Medium)
We have cupped some ridiculously insane coffees this year. From a best of Ecuador finalist to a $1 a gram powerhouse from Panama, our palates have become very aquatinted to dynamic coffees. And this coffee, for the price, is among the most dynamic we’ve tasted this year. Stopping the roast just barely into the first crack allows a lot of those natural flavors to shine, with a salted caramel sweetness and a smooth and milky flavor of matcha paired with a rounded nuttiness.
Finca San Francisco Coffee Production
Roger Antonio Domínguez Márquez owns several farms in La Paz, Marcala. Roger met green-coffee buyer Piero Cristiani at a Specialty Coffee Association Expo event one year, and now he is one of our strongest partners in Honduras. He not only works with his family on his own farms, but he also sources coffee from his neighbors, paying them considerably higher than they would get otherwise from intermediary buyers; we source many of our Marcala Regional Select coffees through Roger, since he has a fantastic eye for quality.
