2022 has proved to us again and again that there is always a new coffee that will amaze us, and we truly believe we saved the best of the year for last. There were two coffees, that when we cupped them for the first time, we knew they were in a league of their own and needed to be showcased as such. We are not exaggerating when we say that these are the best and most unique coffees you'll find in the United States. Having access to these one-of-a-kind coffees is a result of the strengthened connections we've been able to make this year with the coffee community. We have had more spectacular coffee farms and processing centers reaching out to us, offering limited quantities of some of the best coffee we've ever tasted. So, as a way to cap off 2022, we thought we'd offer a collection of our top two Diamond Reserve coffees. Both coffees come from Guatemala and each has earned accolades from the Cup of Excellence competition and One of a Kind auction. We could not be more thrilled to share this next level of coffee with our customers!
*Here's the one catch: since this is a limited bundle, the quantities are, well, limited. Make sure to purchase ASAP for holiday roasting, gifting, and enjoyment!
Guatemala El Zapote Y Anexos Diamond Reserve:
We were excited to participate in the Guatemala One of a Kind Auction this year and targeted a few coffees. Our idea was to either split a lot with a couple of other roasters or if we got lucky, go for this entire lot. We got lucky! We were able to acquire the entirety of this lot, so you can have exclusive access to it from Sagebrush.
This coffee is a perfect authentic Guatemalan coffee. It is both smooth and chocolatey, but also have hints of blueberries. We the cup cooled, we noted a clean finish like hibiscus. Speaking of which, this is one of the cleanest Guatemalan coffees we've ever offered. Cupping these Diamond Reserve auction lots, we understand what makes an auction coffee and at the price we were able to get this one, it is also very accessible.
Guatemala Mama Cata COE Diamond Reserve:
This coffee won #8 at the Cup of Excellence competition and is the highest-rated coffee to come to the US this year. That means it must be special and it does not disappoint.
It is a light and floral washed Gesha. But don't let the Gesha variety lull you into thinking it is just floral. The trademark Guatemalan chocolate comes through perfectly. The acidity brings to mind hints of a cranberry reduction just in time for a Thanksgiving weekend launch. Did I mention how clean this coffee is? You don't earn an 88.93 from an international panel of judges without being a crazy clean cup! We participated in a buying group for this coffee and nabbed 2 bags.
Order them together and save!
